Paris in Pretoria

Ok, I know I’ve said in my previous post…Pretoria is Pretoria…and I know Pretoria is the capital of  SA and that Paris is the capital of  France…but this is now a different “story”… Paris is currently visiting SA..- ..actually Pretoria..-..gallery of pics on THIS LINK …to enjoy…Some advice Paris…black is the colour of the  ”national uniform” of the  English …what about some bright colours?…lol! .. some of these pics were taken at a children’s home in East Lynne, Pretoria. –in a whispering voice.. : never in my life thought I will blog her!! only because it’s SA and because she’s visiting a children’s home…and I have a soft spot for children’s homes!  Images…news24

 PARIS EMBARRASSES HERSELF:

Socialite heiress Paris Hilton displayed her ignorance recently when she said South Africa and West Africa were “both great countries”.
The faux pas came while she was touring South Africa with rocker boyfriend Benji Madden of Good Charlotte.

According to thesun.co.uk, Hilton responded to a question saying, “I love Africa in general - South Africa and West Africa, they are both great countries.”

Hilton was accompanying her boyfriend during the My Coke Fest World Tour.

I’m wondering….about this “embarrassment”… on the chess site..I often get players - when they think I’m in SA and don’t know that I’m in London - that will ask me the following questions…there could be more..just taking randomly as they come to my mind thinking about Paris…take note..on the chess site..the SA flag (the flag of the  country you choose when registering) is displayed with my username…I’ve had questions like…………..1. What’s the time now in Africa…2. Where in Africa do you live…3. What’s it like to live in Africa…geee..I know there are others…can’t think of them now..but very similar questions…and then I always reply…1. I don’t know the time in Africa (that’s acutally a continent)…depends on where in Africa you are…but I used to live in Pretoria in South Africa…  (hey..hello…that’s South Africa..not Africa! I’ve chosen…) 2. ….Well, if I were in South Africa  (hello! my flag says South Africa!) then it would be Pretoria…but….3. Actually….I’m in London, but if I were in South Africa at this very moment…(geeeee…. don’t people know  that South Africa is a country! in Africa!  I really try my best then to be/stay polite in the way I reply to all those questions…..I’m just amazed…..is it a way of showing ignorance… are they ignorant…don’t they really know……or are they just plain ….(let me not say it…) or is it just  “me”… lol!
