I like the style of Piet Mondrian. It looks great and it is different. You can play with the cubus-style and colours the way you want and I’ve discovered that primary school children love this style!

This cocktail dress is from the Mondrian collection, inspired by the 1920s abstract paintings by the Dutch artist of the same name. It was featured on the front of French Vogue in September 1965 and many cheaper copies were produced for the mass market.

Hi there, I’d REALLY like to know the name of the composition by mondrian you have posted here:
http://bp0.blogger.com/_5O6WbyZDz5c/Rvuxhp4RV7I/AAAAAAAAAVQ/XK29TjL-OCc/s320/mondrian.jpg
its the one with the large red shape in the top-right region of the painting. a name would be great
Hi Grace!
I’m really sorry, I found it on the internet (web) and there wasn’t a name attached to it! In future, if I ever posted art-stuff on my blog, I will make sure that I do post the title too, but the ones that are now on my blog, don’t have names, as far as I can remember…. well, I mean where I found it.
The title of that painting is “Composition II in Red, Blue and Yelow, 1930.”
hi Kaalvoet, baie dankie!
Neoplastic movement shouldn’t be transformed into architecture literally, but abstractly. It’s a way of painting; it inspires architecture and not copies it. A great example would be the Schroeder House.
Hi RC, Welcome to my blog and thanks for the visit/message. I like the use of colours in Schroeder House.
